MOZILLA MANIA @ WARANGAL

My college Jayamukhi Institute of technological sciences, Narsampet, Warangal has officially Inaugurated Mozilla club through an event “Mozilla Mania”. Mozilla India Community  lead, Mr.P.Vineel Reddy has been invited as the  chief guest and Mozilla India community  IT mentor Mr.Soumya Deb has also been invited as the guest of honour for the event.  The Director Prof.P.Rangaiah and the Joint secretary Mr.T.V.R.N Reddy along with the guests have inaugurated the Mozilla club Warangal. The chief guest  addressed the gathering –“Mozilla, a non-profitable organization gives an opportunity, especially for  the involvement of students in FOSS (free open source software).”He appreciated the support given by the management  for hosting this  Mozilla event.

               The director of the institute has motivated the students in taking up the mission and vision of Mozilla ahead. The joint secretary said that, the institute has always been pioneering industry oriented programs and has been providing all the resources of his part for the upliftment of student’s career.

    Mr.Faisal Aziz-Mozilla Representative(REMO) who has been contributing for localization arena,Mr.Srikanth Namu Mozilla representative from Karimnagar along with other active students of Mozilla club turned  up for the event. The event saw a turn up of  400 students from various engineering colleges in and around Warangal region.

A special club for women-“WoMOZ”(women in Mozilla) has also been inaugurated with a session by Hema Bhanu, followed by the session from Mr.SoumyaDeb who introduced the Mozilla products like Firefox mobile OS,later session was taken up by Mr.Faisal Aziz on localization.

Parallel Hands-on sessions, for the first time in Warangal have been conducted in the afternoon hours  where, add-on-development  has been conducted by Shoumu Deb and localization by Faisal.The students in localization learnt the methodology of converting the Firefox browser in telugu and  in the other session the students have created new add-ons  for the browser.

Feed back forms were collected and Participation certificates ,attractive goodies of mozilla have been awarded for all the students during vote of thanks!
